1.) Eye cream; it's so important and you should try to apply it every day. Crows feet are unfortunately what give our age away. Keep them away!
To apply it correctly- dab it along the cheek bone. Don’t apply directly under the eye. It moves upwards overnight.
2.) Always wear primer. Not only does it smooth out the skin & brighten it, it also makes your make up last longer.
3.) When applying foundation, use a foundation brush and sponge. Never apply it in a circular motion- the circular motion (used while cleansing) actually opens the pores which means that if you apply your foundation this way, the foundation is actually going into your pores. This will cause terrible break outs as well as blackheads. (Oh no!)
Downward strokes make the application smooth & natural. The sponge then wipes away any excess.
If you want more coverage, just apply another layer. (Don’t forget your powder to set your foundation.)
4.) Use concealer and powder on your eyelids. Your eye make up will last longer.
5.) A great tip on how to change up your day make up, to your evening make up: Use powder as an eyeliner in the day. Apply it with an angled eyebrow brush. It looks natural yet still gives your eye definition. Liquid liner and eye pencils are great for evening.
6.) Blusher is necessary! Even for the nude/ natural look. If applied correctly it enhances your facial features!
7.) Define your brows! People do not realise just how much the eyebrow enhances their features. Even if you have them waxed/threaded, make sure to still define them when applying your make up, with an angled eyebrow brush and the correct colour powder.
8.) Curl your lashes! Mascara works wonders but does an even better job if the eyelashes are curled. It opens the eye, beautifully!
9.) If you are wanting to open up your eye, apply liner on the top lid as normal but only apply liner on the bottom lid, in the outside corner. This will create the illusion of a bigger, more open eye.
10.) Illuminator. The best kept celebrity secret. Apply on your cheek bones, brow bones, down the middle of your nose and the chin. This creates symmetry and also lightens the face.
